Just Leave

Overview
Made on a commission for a client, this was to be shown at a conference to break up the talking a bit and make a joke of how techy people and non techy people rarely see eye to eye.
Design
This started with a meeting with the client, who had a rough idea they wanted a jokey piece to break up their talk and re-engage anyone who had trailed off over the course of the talk.

After this a series of idea where put together and shown to the client. Once these were narrowed down, I storyboarded the favourite to decide how it would go together. After this was finished, this was then shown to the client again to insure it was suitable, and once agreed upon, creation of the assets was made.

The style was chosen to mimic old games, something which would be familiar to the target audience, people in the tech industry. It was supposed to be slightly self deprecating and humorous, but also short so it would remain a pallet cleanser.
Animation
This was made in Aseprite, then exported to After Effects for compilation. This was done so I could achieve a pixel art aesthetic but also have a better place to compile and add any effects and sounds. The sound was produced in an online freeware and also added in AE.
